South Korea Agriculture

Contents extracted from the comprehensive atlas of international trade by Export Entreprises

The Korean agriculture soared thanks to the rice production since Japanese wanted to transform the territory into a grain loft. Today, speculative orchards-based cultures, vine growing and sub-glasses culture invaded the landscape formerly occupied by rice-growing.

Today, South Korea is self-sufficient in rice. As a consequence, the selling price of incomes for an hectare felt dramatically. Socially, Korean agriculture is completely changing while a technical revolution of cultures is developing.
